FINANCE

The goal of the Board of Education is to ensure fiscal accountability by adopting and monitoring a budget that allows the District to effectively and efficiently achieve the results described in the vision of improving student achievement.  This vision includes implementation of state and feral mandates as outlined in the Local Educational Agency Plan and all other plans (Title I,  Title II, and Title III) as required.  The committee meetings center around the budget development calendar (Sept., Dec., Jan., March, and June).  Given the fiscal uncertainty over the past four years, the committee meets as needed to address budget reductions as appropriate, often meeting more than once a month at critical times (February & March) and other critical times (February, March, May) depending upon the impact of the state's budget on the district.  The committee has met in the evening.
