    We still have 160 spots for senior baby pictures to be in the yearbook. This is free, but please send them in to room 220 with your child. When the pages fill that will be the end of it. Your picture will be returned to you.

    Yearbooks are only $45 now at the school bank, but the price will be going up in a few weeks to $50. They make a great holiday gift.

    Also, if you want to get a dedication page or half page for your child, please get it done this fall. Visit or contact Linda Thurston at extension 2220. More information is on the website.

    Senate Bill (SB) 172 (Liu) was signed by Governor Brown on October 7, 2015. This law suspends the administration of the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE).  For additional information about Senate Bill 172, please click here to read the letter from the California Department of Education.   • Online Enrollment for 2016-17 Starts Feb. 22, 2016


    San Leandro Unified School District will begin accepting online enrollment application for the 2016/17 school year starting on February 22, 2016.


    See below for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) or Kindergarten (K) eligibility:

    • TK Eligibility: A child can enroll in TK if they were born between September 2nd and December 2nd, 2011

    • K Eligibility: Must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2011

  • School District Approves Living Wage for All Employees
    Nov. 10, 2015 -- The San Leandro Board of Education approved a living wage for all workers in the District at its monthly meeting this evening. All workers employed by the District will now be making a minimum of $15 an hour.
    The lowest paid staff in the District will benefit the most from this change, with some wages rising from $10 an hour to the new minimum of $15 an hour. The agreement was ratified by members of the California School Employees Association (CSEA) on November 5, and was brought to the Board of Education for final approval.
