  • Further Information from the Superintendent about Novel Coronavirus

    Dear SLUSD Families,

The San Leandro Unified School District is working with the Alameda County Public Health Department to closely monitor the impact of the novel coronavirus. To date, there are no confirmed cases in Alameda County.

That being said, SLUSD is following the guidelines from ACPHD to monitor and implement recommendations regarding students and families who have recently traveled to and from China. For the latest information on those guidelines, please visit the ACPHD situation update at http://www.acphd.org/2019-ncov.aspx.

The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) reports that influenza, or the flu, activity levels have increased over the past several weeks. Please follow best practices in preventing the spread of flu. The health and well being of our students and families is our primary concern in San Leandro Unified.

    Mike McLaughlin, Ed.D

Superintendent, San Leandro Unified School District
