    Good Evening,

    This is Mr. del Rio, principal of Bancroft Middle School with your weekly update for the week of November 27.

    A big thank you to PTA , SLED, and all of our community members who contributed to our Family Science Night!

    Break  Just a reminder that there is no school next week from November 20-24.  School will resume on November 27. Please stay safe.

    PTA  The PTA meeting scheduled for December 13 has been rescheduled to December 6.

    Bike Safety  It has come to our attention that many students are riding their bikes to school without helmets or abiding by the traffic rules.  We are asking parents that you please review bike safety with your scholar to assure the safety of bike riders, pedestrians, and drivers. Thank you for your support!

    Winter Break  Many of you may already know, but I wanted to inform you that our Winter Breaks begins on a Friday this year.  There will be no school on Friday, December 22 and we will return to school on Monday, January 8.

    Lost and Found  Our lost and found is starting to fill up. We have many items such as sweats, shirts, lunch boxes, water bottles,hats, jackets and other valuable items.  If your scholar is missing an item please have them check the lost and found.

    Youth Scholarships  Are you interested in receiving a $250 dollar scholarship so your scholar can sign up for an afterschool program? If you are interested in applying for you scholar please contact Ms. Garcia at ext. 3612.

    Thursday— Girls basketball away game; boy’s basketball practice
