2018 LCAP Community Engagement Update & Response:

  • We want to thank everyone who participated in our districtwide 2018 Community Engagement events back in February. Over 100 parents attended across the five events -- which provided the district leadership team with substantial feedback regarding the current state of the district. In addition, parents asked questions and shared concerns regarding district programs, investments, gaps, site level challenges and strategic plan efforts. These dialogues were an incredible learning opportunity for the superintendent and other district staff to listen and learn about how parents and community members are feeling about SLUSD schools at the elementary, middle and high school levels. In fact, much of the feedback has informed our decision making as we engage in prioritization.

Below you will find links to a series of questions and/or comments that emerged across the five community engagement events along with the district’s responses. This communication approach is not intended to answer everyone’s specific questions, but instead, provide responses to the general themes that emerged across the district hosted events.
