  • December 10, 2018 weekly Teleparent announcement

    Good afternoon Wilson students and families, this is Principal Quock with important announcements for the week of December 10.

    Your Parent Teacher Committee announces that the See’s candy fundraiser pick-up will take place on Friday, December 14 in Room 28A 1:30-3:30pm. Thank you to all the families who participated.

    Our next ELAC meeting is Friday, December 14 8:30 am in Room 28A. Please come to learn more about the assessments and learning programs for English Language Learners.

    We need families who are interested in working with teachers and administrators in helping to develop and sustain a plan for the school’s educational programs. Please come to our next School Site Council meeting on Monday, December 17 at 3:30pm.

    We are excited to announce our Winter Sing Along.  All elementary school students will be performing during the school day on Thursday, December 20. The concerts will begin at 8:30 and end at 11:00.                                        

    Tk and first grade will perform at 8:30-9:10am.

    Second through 3rd grade will perform at 9:25-10:05am

    Fourth through fifth grade will perform at 10:20-11:00am

    Just a quick reminder, Thursday, December 20 is an early dismissal day.  There is no school on Friday, December 21. We will begin our winter break and return to school on Monday, January 7.

    Buenas tardes estudiantes y familias de Wilson, habla la Sra. Quock con anuncios importantes para la semana del 10 de diciembre.

    El Comité de Padres y Maestros anuncia que la recolección de fondos para el evento See's candy se llevará a cabo el viernes 14 de diciembre en la sala 28A a las 1:30-3:30pm. Gracias a todas las familias que participaron.

    Nuestra próxima reunión de ELAC es el viernes, 14 de diciembre a las 8:30 a.m. en la sala 28A. Venga y aprenda más sobre las evaluaciones y los programas de aprendizaje para los estudiantes que están aprendiendo inglés.

    Necesitamos familias interesado en trabajar con maestros y administradores para ayudar a desarrollar un plan para los programas educativos de la escuela. Necesitamos su voz y pasión! Por favor, venga a nuestra próxima reunión del Consejo Escolar el lunes el 17 de diciembre a las 3:30 pm.

    Estamos muy contentos de anunciar nuestro Winter Sing Along. Todos los estudiantes de la escuela primaria se presentarán durante el día escolar el jueves 20 de diciembre. Los conciertos comenzarán a las 8:30am y terminarán a las 11:00am.

    Tk, kindergarten y primer grado se presentarán a las 8: 30-9: 10am.

    Cuarto a quinto grado se presentarán a las 10: 20-11: 00 am

    Y un recordatorio rápido, el jueves 20 de diciembre es un día de salida temprana. No hay clases el viernes 21 de diciembre. Comenzaremos nuestras vacaciones de invierno y regresaremos a la escuela el lunes 7 de enero.

    提醒大家,1220日星期四是早下課。 1221日星期五不上課,接著寒假開始,我們將在17日星期一返回學校上課。

    If you are interested in working in any of our classrooms and our lunches/recesses, or events, our elementary schools are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers! Our schools especially need support for 30-60 minutes at a time in the classroom, during recess, and during lunch.

    Measure I Steering Committee Recognized by San Leandro Unified

    At Tuesday night’s SLUSD school board meeting, the members of the Measure I Steering Committee were presented with special recognition awards for helping secure overwhelming community support to restore essential school funding and protect the quality of education in the district’s schools. Measure I was approved by voters with a 75.08% approval rate, which is one of the largest percentages of “yes” votes in the district’s history.

    SLED Donates $100,000 for SLUSD STEAM labs

    Students at Garfield and McKinley Elementary Schools are the fortunate recipients of newly remodeled science facilities, known as STEAM labs, thanks to a $100,000 donation from the San Leandro Educational Foundation (SLED). The donation will be officially presented to the San Leandro Unified School District during the December Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, December 11, at 7:00 pm.

    San Leandro High School and Bancroft Middle School Win KNBR Grants

    SAN LEANDRO, CA: Last Thursday, San Leandro High and Bancroft Middle Schools were awarded generous donations towards their sports and music programs. World Champion Brandon Crawford and Jim Foley, EVP, and president of Wells Fargo’s Pacific North region presented checks to recipients of the KNBR Step Up to the Plate for Education grants program funded by Wells Fargo at AT&T Park.
